Florina School of Arts
In an era of privatization, cities are facing a major challenge: investment in the public domain depends increasingly only on the private sector. Educational buildings as the Art School of Florina become the perfect opportunity to explore the notion of publicness and urbanity. The role of architecture is not limited on the visual impact but contributes to new educational, civic and social dimensions. Our proposal suggests a new model of Greek educational buildings with a multifunctional atrium as the main space that the public interacts and produce ideas.
